A monogram adds a letter, or a combination of letters, to personalize an item. This is usually a name, the first letter of a name, or a person’s initials. While many methods exist to monogram an item, I specialize in machine embroidery using custom digitizing.
I get this question a lot! The short answer is that a digital file is created for an embroidery machine to read, the item being stitched is “hooped” and loaded into the machine, then the machine stitches the file. It’s a little more complicated and time-involved than this, but I won’t bore you with the nitty-gritty details.
Sewing and embroidery both use a needle and thread, but sewing constructs an item (clothing, etc.) from pattern pieces, and embroidery is the art of embellishing items using monograms, lettering, appliques, and/or designs. Just like sewing can be done by hand or machine, embroidery is the same. I offer machine embroidery, which is precision-crafted with professional digitizing.
I often create items that require a sewing machine, such as hooded towels and stuffed plushies, and can assist with attaching some patches; however, I do not offer alterations (hemming, resizing garments, etc.) or repairs (broken zippers, buttons, etc.) but am happy to work with your tailor and/or seamstress to meet your needs. There is no magic formula that accounts for all of the variables involved with embroidery. As a fully custom business, I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to pricing. With that said, there is a $15.00 minimum charge per item.

During peak seasons (graduation and the holidays), I generally have a turnaround of about a week for custom orders. Still, if you're quick to respond to digital proofs, I often have things ready the same or the next day. Multiple items and bigger or more complicated orders may take longer.
Do you need your item faster? Rush service and/or rush shipping are available at an additional charge. Please inquire about availability.
Shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, towels, bags, blankets, saddle pads, etc. I have both commercial and flat-bed machines. If the item can clear the bobbin arm of a machine while hooped and a needle can go through it, chances are it can be stitched!
While I will try to maintain an item's full functionality, some things, like pockets, might be sewn shut during the process, or your placement request may not be feasible for machine embroidery.

I operate differently than your typical monogram/embroidery shop. You can choose from some of my most popular fonts, but I don’t believe anyone should be boxed in and given only a handful of choices. Got something in mind, or want to match an already existing monogram? I have hundreds of fonts and can often find an exact match or come very close!
In most cases, I create digital proofs of each design for your approval as part of my process. Digital proofs provide a rough idea of what the design will look like as stitches and ensure correct personalization. After the digital proof has been approved, I print the design template and place it on the actual item. A picture of the printed template on the item is taken for your approval on placement. This can sometimes seem tedious with a lot of back and forth, but my customers enjoy my process and appreciate this kind of attention to detail because, from the moment you place an order or drop off an item until the time your order is ready, you will be kept in the loop and know exactly what you’re getting!
